Photo/Video & Website Content Development Intern (Spring and/or Fall)

Goal: Attend all (most) Honors Program events, and/or classes to document and capture successes and interest in the program that demonstrates accessibility, diversity and value to students

Tasks:
  • Take photos and/or videos at Honors Program events
  • Source and obtain permission for photographs, video and music for use on the Honors Program social media sites, email and website

Projects:
  • Complete photo or video editing for each event that can be used on multiple media outlets including social media, print and website
  • Write, edit and update copy for the website

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while still being reliable and practicing good communication to ensure invested parties and colleagues are kept informed of daily activity
  • Undergraduate Honors student with an interest in photography, videography and website content development
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and timeliness simultaneously

Who are we looking for?
  • Savvy with digital photography and video skill
  • Some who is willing to be trained to use Fredonia’s website content editor
  • Undergraduate Honors students having completed a minimum of one upper level course in their career field such as communications and/or visual arts & new media
  • Graphic Design skills essential
  • Responsiveness to email, or virtual feedback, and requests or edits in a timely fashion

Details about the role:
  • 120 hours total during the 17-week semester
  • Approximately 8-10 hours per week)
